Sometimes it's not worth the battle

Yesterday, we promised the girls we would go to Kiddie Park after we ate at church for our Family Night Supper. About 3:30, Briley began the most draining task of finding an outfit that would work for her.
She dragged out an angel costume from Hadley's dance days: "Is this too fluffy, Momma? Or not enough fluff?"
Then she dragged out a fairy witch costume: "What do you think? Too spider-webby on the shoulders?"
Then she put on another dance costume: "I love this one, but it's way too itchy on my legs. But, it does show off my tan... well?"
Finally, she settled on a pink leotard with halter-tie neck and a fluffy tu-tu and her pink Easter shoes: "FINALLY... what do you think, Momma? This looks fabulous on me, right?"
Well, of course, it did look fabulous!! So, she struck a pose and off we went.
PS - by the time we got to the kiddie park, she had ditched the shoes and the skirt. Some battles just aren't worth fighting!

Can't recall how many times my girls went somewhere in dress up clothes. It's part of what make little girls cute. Mine have out grown that, still sometimes working on what is appropriate for the weather!
